A word from the Director
These are very uncertain times, but one thing that is certain — our Spring Garden is a shining ray of hope and inspiration. The red buds are blooming and the butterflies are visiting.
We have had to alter our schedule of events due to present circumstances. Charlotte Weiss was scheduled to present a program on Hummingbirds at the end of the month, she has agreed to let us reschedule her in the future. We were excited to have been selected to participate in the LCRA’s Steps Forward Program, a community clean up event. Unfortunately the event scheduled for April 3 will not take place. The pavilion had several events booked, these are on hold as well.
The Gardens are currently open to visitors 9am-4pm, Monday through Saturday, and our phones are being answered remotely. The Welcome Center is temporarily locked.
We do have Garden volunteer opportunities available. Social distancing rules apply, but we would be happy to share some Garden tasks with you. Contact Savannah at 325-648-2750 and leave a message.
The Gardens are buzzing with beauty. Give yourself the gift of nature.
