Participating in this year’s parade were: Boy Scouts, Botanical Gardens, Mills County State Bank, Ms. Sharon’s Daycare, Mills County Sheriff’s Office, Goldthwaite Volunteer Fire Department with GCISD Cheerleaders, Western Heritage Cowboy Church, Lady Eagles, Schwartz Food, Girl Scouts, Mills County Ministerial Association, Body by Design sponsoring the Goldthwaite Eagles 5th and 6th Grade tackle football team, McMahans, Hillview Manor, Star Fire Department, GCISD Middle School Cheerleaders, St. Peters Catholic Church, Goldthwaite Health & Rehab, Jackie Williams Real Estate, Praise and Worship Center, Hoffpauir Outdoor Superstore and Hoffpauir Chevy, Ranch Land Country Store, Fellowship Cruisers members with their classic cars, and individuals riding horses.
The Grand Marshall of the parade was The Texas Botanical Gardens located at Legacy Plaza. Riding on the float and in the truck were supporters, board members and children and grandchildren. Education about native plants and grasses is a focus of the project so the float was decorated with the grasses and plants found in Mills County. Free day passes to the gardens were passed out.
