Air dates for the fifth season of Out On The Land have been released. Host Dr. Larry Butler will visit the Texas Botanical Gardens and two local ranches on and . We’ll post reminders for each air date as it approaches.
Dr. Butler’s land management and conservation experience began with his 32 years (1974-2007) with USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (formerly the Soil Conservation Service). His career took him throughout the United States in a number of natural resource technical specialist positions including, State Conservationist for Texas, Director of National Grazing Land Technology Institute, Rangeland Management Specialist for 13 western states, Rangeland Enterprise Diversification Specialist, Area Conservationist in west Texas, Biologist in central and east Texas, District Conservationist, and Soil Conservationist in a few local field offices in Texas. Since retirement from USDA, he has been and continues to be a private land management and wildlife habitat management consultant.
Out On The Land is a weekly, half-hour television series which includes video segments from a variety of farms, ranches and other lands. The owner/manager (steward) of the land is featured and conservation practices are highlighted and discussed while “Out On The Land.”
