A group from the The Texas Forts Trail Region took a tour of The Gardens on October 23rd.
After the tour our guests joined us for lunch before going on to one of two tour possibilities that fit in with the eco-tourism or outdoor tourism component of our project:
Del Barnett Ranch
Tour to see archaeology sites (an exposed Bedrock Midden where the visitors sat sit by the ledge near the exposed Midden to hear about the history of the Native Americans who lived there and then were taken to view some of Bedrock Mortars) and to a Black Capped Vireo habitat.
Visitors enjoyed beautiful horses and livestock as they were given the opportunity to tour a working ranch in a picturesque setting.
